The work

The practice covers financial services regulation and compliance (CSSF practice, MiFID II, Prospectus Regulation, AML/KYC), Luxembourg securitisation and structuring under the 2004 Law, company and fund liquidations, institutional tokenisation and DLT, carbon and energy markets (CBAM, EU ETS), and the digitalisation of administrative and compliance work. Every engagement is advised personally, end to end; every published note carries the same byline because the same person did the analysis.

The principal serves as a judicial expert in accounting, taxation, economics, commerce and finance matters, and takes supervisory mandates — commissaire aux comptes, auditor in liquidation, commissaire for closing accounts — described on the review, verification & assurance page.

Writing

Current thinking is published as insights — short, positioned notes that distinguish black-letter law, regulator practice, and market practice, because they are not the same thing. Recent notes cover the MiCA transition, substance in securitisation structures, and the CBAM definitive regime.
